Technology
CAD/CAM
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) allow us to create customized fittings of crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and other dental restorations. Using CAD/CAM, our dentists can create durable, well-fitting restorations often in a single visit! Imagine, in just one visit, you can have a beautiful, healthy smile.
Intraoral Camera
The intraoral camera provides a clear view of your oral health. Although X-rays provide valuable information, they don’t give a complete view of everything that is going on inside your mouth. With the use of an intraoral camera, we can see every aspect of your teeth and mouth with incredible detail, uncovering cracked teeth, plaque deposits, cavities next to fillings, and excessive wear. When we can discover oral problems early, your treatment is much less invasive and much more cost-effective.
Our intraoral camera is small, about the size of the mirror we use during your regular hygiene appointments. The camera’s size allows our dentists to see every aspect of your smile that even X-rays cannot see. This tool will help you become more informed about your dental health, as it gives you a clear understanding of your teeth’s condition, and allows you to make a more informed decision regarding your treatment options.
Digital Impressions
No more goop, gagging, or discomfort to get an impression of your mouth. Using the latest in digital technology, Dr. La can take a highly accurate digital impression of your teeth. This technology ensures a more accurate impression, a more comfortable patient experience, and the ability to see your teeth instantly in 3D.
Our digital impression scanner is a compact, hand-held wand that captures the structure of the teeth and gums using the latest optical technology. The scan is radiation-free and complete in as little as two to three minutes rendering a digitally perfect, 3D impression of your teeth and soft tissue structures. Digital impressions improve communication during the consultation and treatment process and can be used for any restorative treatment, including crowns, veneers, inlays/onlays, bridges, implants, and Invisalign®.
