Meet Dr. Grace La

Dentistry allows me to help others and make a difference in their lives, whether big or small. For some, this means enhancing their smile and helping them gain self-confidence. For others, it is restoring function so they are able to chew properly and enjoy the foods they like. Regardless of my patients’ needs, I treat each person with the same compassion I would give to my family. I take the time to listen and genuinely care about my patients’ well-being. Building strong, personal relationships with my patients is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my job.” – Dr. La

“It was not a difficult decision to choose my path. My father is a dentist and I grew going to his office right after school to watch him work. I have so many fond memories of watching him interact with his patients and help them in many ways. I was intrigued by dentistry even at young age. It wasn't hard to believe that dentistry was the right path for me. And it was.” – Dr. La

Following her dream and passion, Dr. Grace La attended Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine where she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine with Magna Cum Laude in 2010.

To continue her commitment to providing patients with the best treatment available, Dr. La has never stopped learning. Dr. La travels all over the country to learn the most up-to-date knowledge and techniques from world-renowned dentists. Being an active member of many organizations also help her stay in network with other colleagues and be the leading dentist who provides the high level of dentistry patients deserve, right here in King George.

In 2018, Dr. La was awarded a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). FAGD is distinguished award given to general dentists who display a lifelong dedication to continuing education, through completion of 500 hours of continuing education in various disciplines, and the passage of the vigorous AGD Fellowship exam. Dr. La is one of the only 7% of general dentists who have achieved this honor.

“My passion for continuing education gives my patients the benefit of a higher quality of services, and outstanding outcomes.” – Dr. La

When she is not working, Dr. La enjoys being at home with her husband Chris and their three children, Ashley, Joseph, and Caleb. Most of her free time is spent doing what a normal mother-of-three-kids would do - keeping busy around the house, shuttling the kids to their activities, preparing meals for the family, and just having fun with the kids.

As a minister's wife, Dr. La is also involved in many church activities, where her passion for playing the piano comes in handy. She also has a big heart to share her talent by volunteering at local nonprofit dental clinics, and participating in mission trips. Dr. La hopes to build Dahlgren Dental into a practice that gives back and be a channel of blessing, both locally and globally.
